Founder : Noel Segui

​

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Noel Segui's journey from the bustling streets of the Bronx to becoming a key figure in the energy sector is marked by dedication, hard work, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. 

​

Early Life and Education:

​

Segui's early life was deeply rooted in his Hispanic heritage, primarily learning Spanish from his grandparents who raised him in the Castle Hill neighborhood. After attending IS 125 and Lehman High School, Segui relocated with his grandparents to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he was thrust into the working world at a young age.

​

Initial Work Experience:

​

Segui began his professional journey by taking on two full-time jobs. He worked in Simplex building homes from 7 am to 3 pm, and then worked at Kane, a warehouse off Keyser Avenue, working from 3 pm to 11 pm. This 16-Hour per day, demanding schedule laid the foundation for his strong work ethic.

​

Military Service:

​

In 2008, Segui made the pivotal decision to join the Pennsylvania National Guard, specifically the Alpha Company 1st of the 109th. His desire to serve his country was fueled by the noble intention of defending his loved ones from both foreign and domestic threats. His military service, spanning from 2008 to 2016, not only enhanced his physical attributes but also honed his mental capabilities, providing him with invaluable experiences and skills.

Post-Military Career and Environmental Work:

​

After his military service, Segui worked with SCE Environmental Group and Wyatt Pipeline Construction, where he learned to contain FRAC outs from drilling rigs. This marked the beginning of his journey in environmental protection. This experience was crucial when he later worked with Big Country Energy Services in North Dakota, serving as the E&S Foreman responsible for preserving the environment.

University and Entrepreneurship:

​

While serving as a national guard reservist, Segui also attended the University of Scranton, where he met his long-time friend, Robert Loven. The two, along with Robert's father, James Loven, embarked on a project that would revolutionize the energy sector - the Reflective Solar Tracker (RST). Recognizing the potential of RST, which could generate 150% more energy than traditional systems, they established Sustainable Energy Management Systems (SEMS) to commercialize the project. The project was brought to life with the help of Anatoli Epsom, who played a major role in getting these projected funded and keeping the team together!

Work in the Energy Sector:

​

In the following years, Segui continued to work in the energy sector, gathering experience and skills that would prove vital in his entrepreneurial journey. He worked for Osmose Utility Services, Solar City (later bought by Tesla), and Kriger Construction as an Operating Engineer.

​

Segui's ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously was remarkable. He continued to work with Linde Corp and H&K Group, performing similar roles as an Operating Engineer. His work took him to Texas, where he worked for Jones Pipeline Contractors and Caliber Solutions, contributing to significant projects such as building multiple Petro Chemical Facilities for P66 in Sweeny, Texas.

Solar Farm Construction and Building Solar Mason:

​

After his stint in Texas, Segui moved to Devens, Massachusetts, where he worked with Clean Power and Valta Energy to construct a 5-megawatt solar farm as the lead Operating Engineer. Here he installed over 15,000 Panels, over 40 Inverters with 3 Tesla Mega-Pack and a right-of-way for utility-side tie-in.

Segui's vision for Solar Mason was not just to make it a leading Solar Energy Company in North East PA, but to also provide jobs for the region and a sustainable future for his daughter, Liliana and his three sons, Logan, Mason, and Noel III.

Blockchain Technology and Echonomix Inc.

​

In addition to his work in the energy sector, Segui became increasingly interested in blockchain technology and its potential to revolutionize various industries. Recognizing its application in the energy sector, Segui co-founded Echonomix Inc., a tech startup focused on creating an energy-backed cryptocurrency, leveraging his experiences in both the energy and blockchain sectors.

Personal Life and Philanthropy:

Segui has always had a deep connection with his roots and the community. Despite his success, he has never lost sight of his humble beginnings and his responsibility towards his community. This led him to establish the Echonomix Foundation, to provide educational scholarships for deserving students from low-income families in Pennsylvania and further education the community on blockchain technologies.
